Ingredients

  • 2 medium pears, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 tbsp orange juice
  • ¼ cup caster sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2 tbsp yoghurt, to serve (see note for DF and VG)

Methods

  1. Bring juice, sugar, water, cinnamon sticks and vanilla essence to the boil in a medium saucepan.
  2. Reduce to low heat and add pears. Gently simmer until soft, then strain.
  3. Once cooled slightly, serve with a dollop of yoghurt. Enjoy!

    NOTE: Use non-dairy yoghurt to make this recipe dairy free and vegan.
